bus stop

For many, it may look quite trivial
and even not worth to be noticed
or maybe considered just
as a functional object,
an almost invisible component
of the urban landscape.

Temporary in fact it is,
but surprising and memorable
it may also become.

If covered, a temporary shelter
it may also provide us,
but if it's not,
a point of reference it adds.

Eventually, it may be removed
or relocated, but the stories
it witnesses stays permanent.

Likewise young lovers
who enjoy engraving
their names on tree trunks
expecting that they last
eternally, the memories
brought to us by the bus stop
carry similar sensation.

However, the engraving
does not cut any tree vein,
but flows within our blood stream
back and forth over time connecting
heart and mind in an endless cycle.
